Couples Therapy
Just like in the garden of Eden, We all long for connection and relationships. Intimate relationships can bring fulfillment to our lives and other times they can be challenging and draining. A beautiful garden is the one you take care of with the right tools, right seeds and knowledge.
If you are experiencing increasing conflicts, find you are not communicating well, having trouble respecting differences, recovering from an affair or It seems like the Devil had stepped in your garden and sowed weeds and thorns, you might want to try couples therapy to provide support, communication tools and help for rebuilding trust and security in your relationship. The purpose of the therapy is to bring you back to intimacy, back to Eden, a place of fondness and total delight where couples thrive again.
Because each partner has their unique perspective about the problem and the relationship, I will ensure that both partners feel heard and understood. When working with couples, I often see them stuck in interaction patterns that seem difficult to change. I use principles from Emotionally-Focused Therapy ,the Gottman Method, Solution Focus Therapy or CBT, to help identify ineffective communication patterns, and learn ways to improve connection, emotional and sexual intimacy, and satisfaction.
Common couples issues people come in therapy for:
Communication breakdown; communication gridlock, Improving emotional, physical intimacy, control, equality issues, rebuilding trust after an affair, In-laws interference, Cultural sensitivity, sexual Issues: erectile difficulties, discrepancy in sexual desire (low, high or none …and many more).
